HIGHSPOTS.COM PRESENTS THE RIC & RODDY ROUNDTABLE!

Professional wrestling is filled with numerous legendary personalities but arguably no two are more infamous than "Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Highspots.com is thrilled to announce the Ric & Roddy Roundtable as we sat both men down for a no holds barred discussion about the state of the wrestling industry. This goes beyond a shoot interview as you get two unique perspectives on the entire pro wrestling landscape in 2009 from two of its all time most charismatic stars. The comraderie between these two lifelong friends is the true star of this DVD as they give their honest thoughts on a variety of topics. We specifically asked for brand new, never before told or published stories and both men delivered making this perhaps the most informative shoot interview of 2009 so far!

We talked extensively about WrestleMania 25 and the WWE Hall of Fame. Pros and cons of the selection process, should there be a specific criteria for being inducted? Are there people in the hall of fame who don't belong? Both men also talk about the honor of their own inductions with never before told insight. Both legends also discuss their involvement at the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania. Were they happy with the finish to the Legends vs. Jericho match? What was the atmosphere like backstage at one of the biggest shows in company history? What did they think of Mickey Rourke's involvement and was he respectful of the legends or not? This segued into both men weighing in on the Academy Award nominated film The Wrestler. What was missing in the film and what both men did and DIDN'T like about the movie. Piper and Flair also give their take on celebrity involvement in wrestling, from Mr. T through Mickey Rourke and even Snoop Dogg!

The state of the wrestling industry in 2009 is talked about at great length by two of wrestling's biggest drawing stars. Is it possible for a new, upstart promotion to compete with Vince? What about TNA or ROH? Hear Flair's thoughts on the ROH product as well as why Piper briefly went to TNA in between WWE stints. Does MMA stand a chance at overtaking wrestling completely? What does each man see as the main differences between the two products? What makes a money interview and what's missing from most TV interviews today? Both men talk about today's scripted, micromanaged form of TV interviews versus the more ad-lipped, spontaneous interviews of their day. Hear their honest compliments and criticisms of Vince McMahon.  They also go in depth talking about today's superstars versus the superstars of yesterday, WWE as a television show and a brand name versus the territory system and "old school" mentality of promoting shows-- and their opinions might surprise you! They talk extensively about the in-ring style of WWE today also and how to learn ring psychology and confidence in the ring. This information is MUST HEAR for up and coming or aspiring wrestlers!

This is by far the most laid back interview we have ever filmed. Watching it feels like you are sitting in on a casual conversation between two great friends who happen to be among the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. Other topics that come up include the proliferation of violence in American society, the tabloid media, the Michael Phelps and Kobe Bryant scandals, politics, wrestling newsletters, Piper's backlot brawl vs. Goldust, Nitro vs. Raw, the Internet, ex-wives, family values and so much more! One thing that shines through in every moment of this amazing interview is the genuine bond both men share as true friends in a business that rarely allows for long lasting friendships.

If you have ever wanted to see what Flair and Piper are really like, now is your chance to see two legends completely let their guard down and shoot straight like never before! Highspots is thrilled to be able to bring you this unique look inside the minds of these two bona fide hall of famers - order your copy of Ric Flair and Roddy Piper in the Ric & Roddy Roundtable today!

This is a fantastic interview all around. I love the casual nature of the conversation, and both men are extremely entertaining. You can truly feel the mutual respect and admiration that both men have for each other and their willingness to share their candid opinions is refreshing.Definitely recommended

It was a good shoot. You can tell they are really close. It could have been longer. I know they both work on and off with wwe so its hard to get the real dirt but it was ok.

The quality of this dvd is excellent. For me, the substance is so so. Maybe I should watch this a couple of more times but i wasnt to thrilled with this. Im starting to notice Flair has become this butt kisser for McMahon. The only guys he ever knocks are the ones who have heat or did have heat with McMahon (i.e., Bruno, Honky, Hart etc.) or are out of the business completly. Other than that I dont think we ever gets Rics true feelings on some of the subject. One of the reasons maybe be getting knocked out by a Scotty Steiner.

This is what a so called "Face Off" between two icons should be like.Once again, Highspots delivers and both Ric and Roddy contribute a great piece of wrestling history for all to enjoy.Thank you Highspots and keep the Ric Flair DVD's coming.WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll find out the one main thing that Ric Flair did NOT like about "The Wrestler", which had everybody laughing. It was a valid point, but Ric Flair is probably the only person to comment on it. You'll also find out the one thing that really sets Roddy Piper off when so-called "critics" write stuff about him on the Internet. Real relaxed interview, excellent sound quality for a shoot interview. Highspots is really getting better at the overall quailty of the shoot interviews they produce.

Rating: - Classy production w/Extras!

WOW...
the first thing I noticed cracking the seal on this baby is that it wasn't the normal DVDR that can give problems with playback and also isn't the most stable format...its a finished DVD!
now...the second thing was a menu...and EXTRAS..and actually many extras..
Now I don't want to give away any of the conversation or even the fun extras but just know that this is a first class product..not the normal poorly lit conversation from a dark hotel room or panel at some conference. Highspots produced a worthy piece of history and the participants were relaxed, casual and I really enjoyed the visit!
